The Japan Trend Shop, yes there is such a thing, has these trendy-designed toilet silencers - that's right, you read that correctly. These little guys were made to makes the noise of a toilet flushing to hide the - other noises - you might be making.  You press it twice and the sound of a toilet flushing chimes for 25 seconds.  Press it twice again, and the flushing stops.

So is your phone capable of scanning barcodes?  Well if so, whip it out and scan my barcode!! Hurry, I'll wait for you to do it. . . . . . got it?  How awesome huh? 

Okay maybe you didn't pull it up, but that's ok.  What happens is when you have the app on your phone you can scan the code and whatever information was encoded will pop right up on your phone! 

Mine has my stats - name, email, websites, etc.  But you can send anything you want from URLs, phone numbers, even secret love messages - and you can create as many codes as you want!  Check out the website and have at it!

What a Square...

This new technology that is so awwed over makes me a little queasy.  Being someone who has had their account information stolen in the past, I find it hard to see how this makes things better.  This Square sounds great if you own your own business, especially if your sales are driven by home parties, this gives you security.  But with the little information currently available it's hard to believe this is a good thing for us, the consumers.  It appears there is a $60 limit for transactions, but does that really make it safe?  Something like this gets in the hands of the wrong person and who is to stop them from running your card over and over?
