Meditation

When you blame others, you give up your power to change.

- Dr. Robert Anthony

"Maybe the dog really did eat your homework!  Maybe you really did run out of gas.  Maybe he really was rude to you and she really did come in first because she cheated.  Maybe you didn't have loving parents.  Maybe you couldn't afford to go to college.  All these and many more excuses might be perfectly true.  But if you focus on the excuses - if you insist on blaming people and circumstances for you unhappiness - you stay stuck in a field of weeds.  You may never see flowers
"If you are ever to feel the peace that lies under all your resentments, you must let go of the weeds, one by one.  You can pray for willingness to let go and to forgive.  And if you're not ready to take the step, you can pray to be willing to be willing.
"Once you experience the freedom that results from letting go of anger and resentments, you will never want to hold on to them again!
"How much do you really want peace?
"I pray for the willingness today to let go of anything that is holding me back from feeling peace in my heart."
