Goal #35: Start a holiday tradition

As I already filled you in on our weekend plans, we went to the pumpkin patch this weekend with our adorable little nephew Anthony!!  This is our second year going and we've all decided Halloween wouldn't be the same for Anthony if we didn't take him year after year... goal complete!

We have a TON more pictures of the whole gang: Anthony, his mommy Stephanie, Alex, Tio Danny and myself but these are only just a few I had on my celly to share.  I can't wait to get the rest of them - they are adorable!  I will throw some thumbnails up here for all to see, but in the meantime yayyy another goal complete, and yayyy a family holiday tradition has begun...

I Miss This Little Boy

Ever since we moved out I have been missing this little guy... *sad face* He always did or said something that would crack me up, not to mention I loved doing fun things like this day - we used my hair to give him facial hair just like his Tio Danny. What a cutie!

New Page: .snapshot challenge.

Best Free Swag: Petunias

Amongst all the free swag we received from the race this weekend - key chains, wrist bands, frisbees, temporary tattoos, flashlights, baked goodies, smoothies, protein bars, paint cans - by far, the best one would be this lovely potted petunia.  Being kids at heart, our team made our way to the kids zone and learned how to pot flowers.  I believe the booth was put on by Home Depot, and I think it was a fabulous idea for the kids zone and I believe when the flowers bloom, they will be PINK!  Perfecto!

Today at Starbucks

I walked into Starbucks in dire need of caffeine.  However, I was going to be at least somewhat reasonable and order a grande, rather than a venti sized SKVL.  But to my surprise, the fabulous barista that knows me very well had already prompted a venti sized cup... dawned with my name:

How could I resist?

And to top it all off, I was lucky enough to get the 4th shot that was not being used (I love that they aren't wasteful!), as well as an extra pump of sugar-free vanilla to soften the taste.  Goodness, I love my usual Starbucks.

I Heart my Honda

That means I got 31 miles/gallon with my 12 gallon tank.

I'm Back!

It's true, I'm back from my mini-vacation to Laughlin, NV.  Yes it was hot - but most of all it was blistering hot.  Don't believe me, here it is on the record:

On our trip we not only had a blast but we made a few discoveries - 1. Danny does not like the heat. Period.  2. I should not gamble.  At all.  I won $50 bucks on the first day, and should have taken that with a grain of salt.  3. Danny should only play Texas Hold'em.  He's good at it, and we win.  Everything else, we lose.  Here is the constant reminder of that very fact:

And last but not least, 4. After 7 years of being together, we are still in love.  We enjoy each other's company.  We don't care what other people think of us.  And even on vacation at a beautiful place, with people we love - after a very long day in the sun drinking dessert-tinis, sometimes what we want (and what we need) is to take a siesta and watch HBO.

If you're craving a relaxing vacation in the sun with everything you could possibly want to do at your fingertips, I suggest the Avi Resort in Laughlin.  With a pool and beach right outside your door, the casino, lounge and restaurants just downstairs, and with a view like this, how can you not want to go there?

Thanks babe for driving and getting us there in a jiffy.  I promise next time I'll have my ipod fully loaded.  Great trip.

Happy 7 Year Anniversary!

That's right! Seven years ago today, Danny and I decided to go steady and we've been together ever since. I must say - we have been riding The Roller Coaster of Love for some time now, and no one is saying it's been easy.. but I would never trade our life together for anything.

Happy Birthday to Lauren, an original founder of this fun blogspot... I hope your actual birthday is as great as our early birthday lunch was.  And, I hope you enjoy your cubical.  You know what they say, never ask someone not to do something, because then you're guaranteed to have it done, ten times over.
