Creative Grab Bag

I just heard of this amazing book, the Creative Grab Bag, was created by a student, Ethan Bodnar. He created over 30 unique tasks and gave each contributor (101 artists, illustrators and designers from around the world) a task that was different from their typical work. The book's layout for each piece shows the artist’s creative task, their typical work, and a biography with a short reflection on their creative process.
What I love best is that the end result is 230 pages of artist's creative spirit of exploration and innovation - which in-turn challenges readers to break out of their usual work and try something new. And when I say challenge, I mean it. In the back of the book there are perforated cards that can be torn out to make your own grab bag. You can even send in your own submissions to be added to Ethan's blog.
Below are some previews to the pages indicating the specific tasks:
{Design a Typeface}
{Create a Comic Strip}
{Design a Building}
{Create a Collage}

You can get your own copy of this book at Amazon, Barnes and Noble and Borders. Visit the blog to see a list of all the unique tasks and contributors.
