Movie Must-See: Eat, Pray, Love

I have owned this book for too many years, and for some reason I have been completely unable to get through the first section.  This is no criticism to the book/writer/what-have-you in any way, I simply feel as though I have some mental block that has kept me from becoming invested in the story.
Madalyn on the other hand, loved it!  She got through the entire thing, was moved and has been trying to convince me to attempt to read it again for months now.  At some point I finally said, Stop, I'm just going to see the movie and call it a day!
After seeing this trailer, I'm standing by my position.  Julia Roberts has been a favorite of mine since I was a little girl, and every movie of hers is on my must-see list - which includes this one!  So Madalyn, while (at this moment in time) I will not attempt to read the book.... I will go see this with you!! *cheeeese smile*

  1. Erin, I like you owned the book, tried to get through it and just couldn't. I recently picked it up again and made it through Italy and am on my way to India. The second time around, I absolutely love it almost to the point that I want to learn to speak Italian! Not sure if it is because I am in a different place personally than I was last year, but you might want to give it a try. Also, going to see the movie with your best girls is a must do...

  2. Hii! Idk if you'll come back to this, but I just saw your comment (I know, I should check in more often on these babies). Maybe you're right. With the different times in our life, it could speak to me now. I will def consider re-reading.
