I Write Like

Amy shared this post about I Write Like which analyzes your word choice and writing style and compares them with those of the famous writers.  You can insert anything from journal entries, comments, papers, or in my case blog posts. Since I LOVE to write and have over 700 posts I went ahead and tried it to see who exactly I line up with.  And after inputting over 15 different blocks of writing the results are in...

Yes, I have two people.  One after another I came up with both of these authors through all 15 blocks, only once did I get a different author - making it a 7 to 7 tie between these two.  And I hate to say it, but I saw these two and thought who the heck is this? (sorry guys)  According to Wikipedia, let me introduce you...

Cory Doctorow
Canadian Native
Mr. Cory is a Canadian blogger, journalist, and award-winning science fiction author who serves as co-editor of the blog Boing Boing.
With quite a few publications under his belt, some of which have been released under the Creative Commons licenses, this guy seems fun and quirky.  Never would I have compared my writing to that of science fiction, but maybe so...

I must say I love the vintage style, and those glasses are wayy fun!

David Foster Wallace
New York Native
American author of novels, essays, and short stories, and a professor at Pomona College here in sunny California.
He was widely known for his 1996 novel Infinite Jest, which Time included in its All-Time 100 Greatest Novels list and has been said to be one of the most influential and innovative writers of the last 20 years.
